second performance at the 2007 Festival, Ensemble
Clément Janequin explores the fascinating
connection between birdsong, love, and music. Long associated
in the imaginations of poets and composers, these themes are
depicted in song by morning choruses of birds, the comic cuckoo,
and the exuberant full-throated welcoming of spring.
