For hundreds
of years, French songs have been passed on from generation
to generation as a means of preserving important events in
the history of their country, king, region, or family. The
melodies, which bear the features of both popular and art
music, are miniature masterpieces and still well-known in
France today. Le Poème Harmonique
makes their Boston début with a program showcasing
their authentic and eloquent interpretations of this wonderful
repertoire.
