When is the next Festival?
What opera will be performed at the next Festival?
In 2015, BEMF will present The Monteverdi Trilogy, with staged productions of Monteverdi's three survivng operas, L'Orfeo, Favola in Musica, Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria, and L'incoronazione di Poppea.
Are on sale for the next Festival?
Yes. Tickets and Subscription Packages for the 2015 Festival are now on sale.
Will Festival passes be sold?
All concerts and opera performances are individually ticketed events. Subscription packages will be available with discounts for purchasing 4 or more events.
In addition to these performances, the Festival week will also feature the 4 days of the world-famous BEMF Exhibition and concurrent events such as performance masterclasses, dance workships, lectures, and symposia. Week and Day Passes will be sold for admittance to all of these events. Festival Week Passes ($40) are available in advance and Festival Day Passes ($10) can be purchased each day at the Festival Welcome Center or at any of the above events.
A series of Fringe Concerts will also take place during Festival week, featuring performances by nearly 100 soloists and ensembles. Fringe Concerts are all presented by the artists themselves and ticketing will be at their discretion. More information about Fringe Concerts will be available in spring, 2015.
Can tickets purchased now for the Festival operas be added to a subcription package when they go on sale?
Yes. Any purchase of Festival tickets before subscription packages go on sale can be credited towards a subscription package. Just contact the BEMF Box Office and we will be happy to make those arrangements.
Will BEMF be returning to the Berkshires following the 2015 Festival?
Yes. BEMF will present a concert performance of Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610 on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 8pm, followed by BEMF's acclaimed chamber opera production of Monteverdi's Orfeo on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 3pm. Both performances take place in the splendid Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington, one week after the conclusion of the June 2015 Festival in Boston.
