Sir Roger Norrington returns to Boston to conduct the pioneering ensemble Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in their eagerly anticipated BEMF début. The OAE has been an innovative leader in early music performance for over twenty years. The group has no permanent Music Director, which allows it to work with some of the world's greatest conductors and soloists. Be enthralled by this unique musical collaboration between the legendary conductor and ensemble in a program exploring underperformed masterworks by Johann Sebastian’s second son, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
