Music for Viol Consort by Henry Purcell and William Lawes
Internationally renowned ensemble Fretwork has been celebrated as "the world's leading viol consort" (The Independant) and has enjoyed particular acclaim for their performances of English music for viol. Their recording of Purcell fantasias earned the ensemble at 2009 Gramophone Award. This program will feature selections from that concert alongside other sparkling works by two English masters.
