Treasures of the Renaissance: The Golden Age of Choral Music
Our season of unforgettable concerts ends with the thrilling young singers of Stile Antico in a sparkling program of Renaissance masterpieces. Since making their North American début at the 2009 Festival, this vocal ensemble has fast established themselves as one of the most popular ensembles with BEMF audiences, and they are in high demand around the world for exquisite performances that are as stunningly beautiful as they are deeply moving. The twelve singers of Stile Antico will present an enticing selection of Renaissance treasures from across Europe that features fifteen different composers including Lassus, Gombert, Byrd, Tallis, Sheppard, Gibbons, Palestrina, and Praetorius.
