Rameau: Opera and Ballet Transcriptions — Dardanus, Castor et Pollux, Pygmalion, and Les Indes galantes

Native New Yorker and alumnus of the “famed” High School for the Performing Arts, keyboardist Kenneth Weiss has been heralded as “a musician at the zenith of his art” (Diapason) for performances of engaging virtuosity. He makes his BEMF début in a stunning recital of dances and operatic music by Jean-Philippe Rameau transcribed for solo harpsichord. A long-time collaborator with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants, Weiss infuses these energetic masterpieces with an exhilarating theatricality.
