Masters of the Italian Baroque: Vivaldi and More
“One of the world’s most adventurous and dramatic period instrument ensembles” (NPR), the Venice Baroque Orchestra was founded in 1997 by harpsichordist and Baroque scholar Andrea Marcon to perform and rediscover 17th- and 18th-century Venetian, Italian, and other Baroque masterworks. They have toured the globe for over two decades, thrilling audiences with a rousing sound full of lively energy and impeccable musicianship. The orchestra makes a triumphant return to the BEMF concert stage in a program of concertos from the Vivaldi, Albinoni, Geminiani, and others showcasing the dynamic interplay between soloist and ensemble.

Pre-Concert Talk at 7pm.
