BEMF in Review

with Freddy Eichelberger, organ

Music of Jenkins, Coprario, Lawes, Kühnel, and Marais

There are few sonorities as captivating as the intermingling of two resonant viols, weaving their delicate lines into a reverberant whole. BEMF is thrilled to bring back two of the world’s most remarkable viola da gambists with organist Freddy Eichelberger for a program that features music by some of the great composers and players from Baroque England, Germany, and France.

“…highly refined playing …In a programme of bass viol duets from England and North Germany, the artists’ intimate coalescence was matched by a discrete and profound musicality.”Early Music
