Les Goûts Réunis

Le Concert des Nations features some of the most talented musicians from throughout Europe under the expert direction of viola da gambist Jordi Savall. This intriguing program brings together
a variety of musical tastes from 17th-century Europe, including the Air des Espagnols by Lully, Sonade La Françoise and excerpts from the Concert Royal by François Couperin, and music of Charpentier, Marais, Forqueray, Leclair, and others.

“The term ‘early-music superstar’ is surely an oxymoron. But in the most understated of repertory, on the most subdued of instruments and in the most self-effacing way, Jordi Savall comes close to being one.”
