La Serenissima: Music of Rameau, François Couperin, Boismortier, Domenico Scarlatti, and Vivaldi
Béatrice Martin, who began studying the harpsichord at the age of six, has traveled the world performing in solo recitals as well as continuo for some of the finest ensembles in Early Music, including Les Arts Florissants, Les Folies Françoises, and Ricercar Consort. For her BEMF début, Martin brings her passionate virtuosity to a recital of Baroque harpsichord masterworks by Rameau, Couperin, Boismortier, and Scarlatti, plus a concerto from Vivaldi’s L’estro armonico in a transcription for solo harpsichord by J. S. Bach.
