Carnivalesque: Sex, Lies, and … Musical Tales in 16th-century Venice
Dedicated to the colorful music of Medieval and Renaissance Italy, Patrizia Bovi and Micrologus bring committed musicology to performances bursting with vibrant enthusiasm. For our “Carnival” Festival, Micrologus returns to the BEMF concert stage with a program inspired by commedia dell’arte traditions at the Venetian Carnivals of the 16th century. Enjoy lively folk melodies and dances that would have entertained the great feasts of exotic Venice in this not-to-be-missed concert!
