Singen, Spielen, Tanzen, Trinken
The Hamburg that Handel knew as a young man was a town full of singing, drinking, dancing, and merriment! For their always-popular Saturday latenight concert, Tragicomedia returns to illuminate this atmosphere of folly and gaiety with a program of songs, dances, and instrumental music from Hamburg around the time of Almira and Handel’s residency in this cosmopolitan city. Caroline Copeland will be featured as Harlequin, and songs by Telemann as well as dances from the Lambranzi collection will complete this popular Festival tradition!
