PLEASE GIVE TO BEMF
The Boston Early Music Festival has encompassed a wide variety of performances and events throughout the past twenty-five years: an annual concert series featuring the world’s foremost early music soloists and ensembles; a triumphant series of fully-staged modern début Baroque operas; the world’s largest trade show of early instrument makers, music publishers, service organizations, and related colleagues; concurrent events such as symposia, lectures, masterclasses, and workshops aimed at providing an ever-deepening appreciation of early music and historical performance practice among both our fans and the general public; and most recently, world-class recordings of our unique Baroque opera productions, including Johann Georg Conradi's Ariadne, Thésée by French Baroque giant Jean-Baptiste Lully, and Lully’s Psyché, each of which has earned a Grammy nomination for Best Opera Recording. But more than anything, the Boston Early Music Festival represents an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of musical excellence by the field’s luminaries and rising stars while furthering the historically-informed performance of early music’s classic favorites and rediscovered gems.
What makes it all happen? Artistically, BEMF is privileged to work with the world’s leading directors, musicians, and scholars to assemble its broad range of concerts, groundbreaking operas, and other insightful activities. But without an enthusiastic audience to whom we can bring our passion and performances, we would be an institution without a purpose.
That’s why BEMF turns to every lover of early music and fine musicianship who both understands the importance of our work and appreciates the vital contribution BEMF makes to Boston’s rich cultural landscape. Ticket sales cover less than half the cost of producing our concerts and operas. Please consider supporting the world-renowned Boston Early Music Festival!
