Enjoy this case of fine Red Burgundy wines, specially selected by Dr. Melvyn Pond, Chevalier du Tastevin.
4 Bottles of 2000 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru from Domaine Dominique Laurent: Laurent is a gifted practitioner of non-interventionist winemaking and uses new oak barrels made to his own specifications. Reviewers assess this vintage to be one of his best and it is drinking well at this time.
4 Bottles of 1999 Corton Pougets Grand Cru from Domaine Roland Rapet: From one of the donors’ favorite villages in Burgundy (Pernand-Vergelesses) this is a superb example of a very elegant wine that is ready to be enjoyed now.
4 Bottles of 2002 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru from Domaine Robert Arnoux: This has been reviewed as a sensational wine from a small number of vines found in one of the most picturesque vineyards on the Cote D’Or. Preferably, it should be kept for another 2 years to reveal its full potential.
Compliments of Amanda & Melvyn Pond
