Enjoy this case of fine Red Bordeaux wines, specially selected by Dr. Melvyn Pond, Chevalier du Tastevin.
6 Bottles of 1996 Chateau Marquis de Terme: Established in Margaux in 1661 and classified as a fourth growth under the grand cru rating system in 1855, this wine came to prominence when noted by Thomas Jefferson in a very positive fashion in his diary. The 1996 vintage is a typical blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot with a touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc—it is ready to drink, and should continue to drink well over the next few years.
6 Bottles of 2003 Chateau Pavie-MacQuin: From the Saint Emilion area, this vineyard was one of the first to use French vines grafted to American rootstock after the phylloxera epidemic in the late 19th Century. The blend is predominately Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Franc. It is ready to drink and has received high acclaim during maturation since bottling.
Compliments of Amanda & Melvyn Pond
